The County is soliciting proposals for the lease of up to 45,871 square feet (+1.04 acres) of unimproved land (the “Property”) located at the southwest corner of the Palm Beach International Airport (“Airport” or “PBI”), as depicted in the General Location Map included as Attachment “2” to this RFP. The Property is offered for a short-term lease for interim uses compatible with airport operations and will not be offered for sale. The minimum annual rental is One Dollar and Sixty Cents ($1.60) per square foot of ground area. Rental is subject to adjustment in 2028 and every three (3) years thereafter based on appraisal. The Department’s goals for this RFP are to: • Provide for the short-term lease of the Property for a passive interim use that is compatible with airport operations and uses adjacent to the Property, such as vehicular parking or vehicle storage associated with an on-airport business or a business adjacent to the Property, while retaining ownership for future airport uses/expansion; • Reduce on-going maintenance and security costs to the County; and • Generate revenues for the operation and maintenance of the County’s Airport System, commensurate with the opportunity offered.
