Specifications include, but are not limited to: Removal of existing gear drive and torque trip mechanism. This will include, but not limited to disconnecting all wiring to properly remove the gear drive and torque control mechanism, disconnecting all mechanical fasteners required to remove the existing equipment. All work performed shall be in accordance to the manufactures instructions and specifications. Support existing rotor impeller. Install new gear drive and torque trip mechanism according to the manufacturer’s instruction including all wiring and mechanical fastening work, balancing, shimming, alignment, etc.to provide a properly working gear drive and torque mechanism in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and specifications. Contractor is to provide all tools, materials (excluding gear drive and torque mechanism), labor, equipment, etc. that is needed to complete the job. Contractor will be responsible for removing and replacing any and all structural components that are required to replace the gear drive and torque mechanism. Any components that have to be removed and replaced, shall be done so in a manner so that the finished work will be equal or better than the existing components condition as determined by the City. Contractor is responsible for properly disposing of the old gear drive and torque mechanism offsite.
