Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Cleaning Tanks and equipment - The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, material, and supervision to remove all the debris from the tanks and properly dispose of by hauling debris to a Class 1 Landfill. The Contractor is responsible for all costs associated with the removal and disposal of debris. The debris will include vegetation, grit, rags, dirt, etc... The overall tank size is 115 feet long by 58 feet in width. The depth of the tank is 18 feet at the edge and slopes to 19 feet at the drain. All piping and pipe connections must be cleaned and free of foreign materials. All aeration discs and connectors must be cleaned and free of foreign materials. All work performed on this tank will be done with the tank in normal operation. B. Tank Inspection – A copy of the tank inspection report is included in Appendix “A”. C. Rehab of Aeration System - All diffusers will be replaced with new diffusers. There are approximately 810 diffusers in the tank. The City will require the purchase of 825 diffusers as part of the project. All diffusers not used will be turned over to the City as spares. All damaged diffuser connection adapters, flange gaskets, damaged pipe connections and Fernco couplings shall be replaced and the old ones properly disposed of offsite. Any piping that is damaged or showing signs of excess wear will be replaced with equivalent or superior piping as determined by the City. The contractor shall provide a cost for time and materials to cover the above unknown conditions for each item (See parts list in Appendix B). For example, cost of time and material for each coupling to be replaced. Refer to appendix A for inspection report of the project and Appendix B for installation specifications.
