Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Monroe County School District (MCSD) seeks to enhance equitable access to mental health services for students by contracting with a qualified tele-health provider. This initiative is aimed at eliminating waiting lists for mental health support, allowing students to receive timely counseling from licensed therapists who can communicate in their home language. Within the framework of the WINGS program, students will participate in group counseling sessions facilitated by tele-health therapists. Upon graduation from the WINGS program and transition back to their respective schools (HOB or KWHS), students will have the opportunity to continue receiving individual therapy based on the collaborative assessments made by the school, tele-health therapists, and parents. The overarching aim of this project is to improve emotional regulation and coping skills for students in the WINGS program who have experienced trauma.
