Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is seeking to award contracts to several vendors that can provide one or more of the service categories outlined below. It is intended that this bid will provide the City with a pool of vendors that the City can use together, as an extension of staff, to provide all of the services outlined in this Scope. The categories of service are: 1. Nursery Stock Providers - This service category includes nurseries that can provide bulk tree stock – of at least Florida Grade 1 quality or in sufficient condition to prune the limb and/or root structure to meet this standard. Nurseries with ability to deliver trees on-site are preferred. Tree species will be determined based on the City’s Recommended List, or other species that are suitable to be grown in USDA Hardiness Zone 10A that are approved by City Staff. See Item 1 of Attachment 1 for full detail. 2. Tree Installation & Young Tree Care a) Vendors in this service category should be able to install trees ranging from small to burlap fieldgrown sizes within an urban setting (Parks, City ROW, etc.). Vendors should also be able to provide an accurate (within 5 meters) GPS inventory of any new tree plantings. See Item 2 of Attachment 1 for full specifications. b) Alternatively, vendors submitting in this category should be able to provide young tree training and pruning services and initial irrigation via tree watering bags, water tanks or other means that provide sufficient water for new trees as outlined in the attached detailed specifications. See Item 2 of Attachment 1 for full specifications. 3. Routine & Emergency Tree Trimming & Pruning - Vendors applying for this service category should be able to perform routine and emergency tree maintenance as outlined in the “Tree Pruning” section of the attached specifications. See Item 3 of Attachment 1. Vendors in this category must have at least one ISA Certified Arborist on-site to review work completed and provide City with documentation and photographs of work completed. 4. Tree Removals - Vendors within this service category should be able to do tree removals, including providing their own necessary equipment and debris removal as outlined in the “Tree Removal” section of the attached specifications. See Item 4 of Attachment 1. Vendors in this category must have at least one ISA Certified Arborist on-site to review work completed and provide City with documentation and photographs of work completed.
