The Department is seeking a Vendor to upgrade/replace vehicle detection systems, traffic signal controllers, traffic signal controller cabinets, and ancillary hardware to allow for the collection and forwarding of ATSPM data. At a minimum the systems are expected to: Provide lane-by-lane presence detection along each approach to the signalized intersections as shown in the Signalization Plans (Appendix 1). Provide advance detection for all lanes approaching the signalized intersection as shown in the Signalization Plans (Appendix 1). Provide configuration of each detection zone on individual channels in the traffic signal controller. Provide Advanced Transportation Controllers (ATC) and controller firmware capable of high-resolution data logging. Upgrade traffic signal controller cabinets to Size 6 NEMA TS2 Type 1 cabinets as shown in the Signalization Plans (Appendix 1). Includes all effort needed to relocate/upgrade and reconnect existing equipment, power service, and fiber optic communications. Install uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to provide back-up power to traffic signals in the event of a disruption to utility power service as shown in the Signalization Plans (Appendix 1). For all elements, the work includes all labor, material, tools, equipment, hardware, and software to provide, install, integrate, and test a fully functional system. Equipment must be installed within FDOT right-of-way. The Vendor is responsible for obtaining the necessary surveying and permitting approvals to begin construction of the system.
