Consultant shall provide technical assistance in the development of an Urban Forest Master Plan, which will serve as a guiding document for strategic planting initiatives and the expansion & maintenance of the City’s urban forest. This Master Plan will include an assessment of the Current state and needs of the community, establishing an urban forest baseline through stake holder engagement. The plan will define a vision for the City’s urban forest, detailing specific goals, objectives, and actions within a strategic framework. Additionally, it will specify roles and responsibilities for the execution of these actions and goals while identifying the departments and agencies responsible. A monitoring plan will be included to measure the progress and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the Urban Forest Master Plan. The City staff and the Awarded firm will effectively perform the tasks listed herein to create this Master Plan. The City will assign key staff members to a Project Team from departments including Public Works, GIS, Community Development, and the City’s Arborist, to work with the professional firm. There will be additional partners, including other governmental agencies and local organizations.
