• Consultants shall provide, but are not limited to, the following services: o Traffic Impact Statements. o Simulation modeling o Traffic modeling o Intersection analysis and design o Transporation planning and design o Roadway capacity and classification analysis o Signal analysis and design o Roundabout design and analysis o Development of regional impact transportation study review work o Proportionate share calculations o Traffic engineering and planning safety studies o Transportation and traffic safety studies as deem necessary • Consultants shall utilize optimum industry practices as well as the latest cutting-edge technologies. • Assigned work may involve meetings, consultation master planning, pre-design, specifications, estimates, final drawings, programming, drafting of bids/proposals, construction administration, cost planning, site analysis, bidding/selection recommendation, presentation/recommendation to Staff and/or Council. • Consultants shall ensure that work conforms to and is in accordance with current codes and standards. • Other responsibilities may include other engineering professionals participating as part of a team working closely with other professionals. • Consultants shall have experience in obtaining permits with the various permitting agencies and may require attending meetings with and/or on behalf of city staff. • Sub-consultants, registered in the State of Florida and acceptable to the consultant and the City. • Consultants shall produce the construction drawings and written specifications required to bid, permit, and build projects. • Consultants shall submit all required documents to all agencies having jurisdiction over the assigned project and obtain the required permits or authorization to perform the works. • Consultants shall assist the city with questions from bidding subcontractors. • Consultants shall provide construction administration (post design services) including but not limited to: Site Observation, shop drawing review, participation in progress meetings, processing ASI’s, RFI’s and Change Orders. • If requested by the City, Consultants shall visit the work under construction as often as necessary, to keep informed as to the progress and quality of the work and to guard against defects and deficiencies in the construction of the work for which such consultant is responsible. • Consultants shall be available for intermediate site observation visits at critical phases of the construction.
