The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Air and Resource Management (DARM) is charged with regulation of Florida's air resource, including air quality monitoring, permitting and ensuring compliance of emission sources. The DARM regulates the state of Florida's air resource, implementing state, federal and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements, and enabling the economic development of the state. Per 40 - Code of Federal Regulation (CFR), Part 58 - Ambient Air Quality Surveillance. Teledyne equipment meets the Federal completeness and quality assurance requirements (provided in 40 CFR Part 58) in support of the operational readiness of Florida's Statewide Air Monitoring Network. The DARM utilizes the Teledyne N400 Ozone Analyzer and the Teledyne T703U Ozone Calibrator to measure ozone concentrations generate specific ozone concentrations during daily quality control checks and quarterly calibrations on the continuous gaseous ozone monitors operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year The purchase of these instruments is required to ensure Federal requirements (40 CFR Part 58) for data quality and data completeness to enable the DARM to maintain ozone levels. The Teledyne ozone analyzer has the capability to generate ozone in a low range, or “fractional” mode, for producing ozone levels down to 3 ppb, with exceptional accuracy as required in accordance with 40 CFR Part 58 and the State’s approved air monitoring network plan. Teledyne's analyzers and calibrators allows the DARM to continue the mission of the DEP.
