Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified and experienced agencies to provide childcare services for the Teenage Parent Program (TAP). Currently, students participating within the Teenage Parent Program (TAP) attend Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) and receive childcare in a nearby licensed and accredited facility. Florida Statute 1003.54 requires District school boards to make adequate provisions for pregnant and parenting teenagers to complete the coursework necessary to earn a high school diploma. The Teenage Parent Program will provide a specialized Parent Education curriculum to meet the needs of students who are pregnant or students who are mothers or fathers, pursuant to Florida Statute 1003.21. Additionally, ancillary services will be provided in four (4) areas: childcare, health services, social services, and transportation.
