The Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners is seeking bids from companies which can provide tree harvesting/thinning at Suwannee County’s Regional Shelter Property. The County has approximately 65 acres of planted pine for sale. Seller is requesting per ton quotes for the pine pulpwood tree length, pine pulpwood tree top wood, pine chip-n-saw logs, and pine sawtimber. Tract is dry. Please note the tract has damage from Hurricane Helene. Proof of weight/load tickets shall be required. Once a contract has been awarded and a Notice to Proceed has been issued, contractor will have four (4) months to complete the contract, barring unforeseen circumstances. Type of Harvest: 1. Third row thinning – clearcut third row, thin remaining two rows, taking out forks, diseased, suppressed, and broken trees. 2. Trees that are broken off, leaning, or dead must be cut whether sellable or not. 3. Length of contract will be four months from date of contract. 4. Bidders should satisfy themselves as to how much is storm damaged.
