Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Florida Department of Transportation, hereafter known as the DEPARTMENT requires sealed written Proposals from qualified Proposers to provide the services described in this Request for Proposal. 2.2 The purpose of this CONTRACT/AGREEMENT is to retain a qualified firm or individual to perform Intergovernmental Affairs and Community Liaison Services requested from a CONSULTANT specializing in public liaison and public affairs. The CONSULTANT will provide support to the District Secretary, Directors and District Public Information Officer to enable the District to better understand and meet the transportation needs of the community, both private and governmental. These services will be to provide the District information, recommendations and liaison to local government officials for those transportation-related issues affecting the DEPARTMENT, and does not require any lobbying on behalf of the DEPARTMENT. The District requests that the CONSULTANT be able to provide liaison services in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. 2.3 The Scope of Services along with the CONTRACT/AGREEMENT describes and defines activities which may be required by the Florida Department of Transportation for the requested services on an as-needed basis in District Six. 2.4 As services are identified, the Departments Project Manager (or his/her designee) shall issue a Letter of Authorization/Purchase Order to perform the required services. 2.5 All services described in the Exhibit A, Scope-of-Services shall cover all existing and proposed services as added during the term of this CONTRACT/AGREEMENT, hereafter known as the CONTRACT/ AGREEMENT.
