The Department is soliciting an Operator to enter into an agreement, under which the Department agrees to allow the Operator to manage the use of the Infield Test Sectors, shared use of the Highway-Speed Oval, and existing equipment to advance the Department’s goal and objectives as stated in Section 1.2. The Department expects the Operator to be flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of the Department and the transportation industry. In addition, the Operator should maintain transparency in the execution of all aspects of this Contract in a manner that provides best value to the Department. The Operator shall be responsible for operating the SunTrax Infield in a manner consistent with the Department’s goal and objectives as stated in Section 1.2. In addition, the Operator shall manage the shared-use of the Highway-Speed Oval with the Department’s priorities, as defined in Section 4.2. The Department expects the Operator to operate, maintain, and promote the SunTrax Test Facility with an emphasis on quality and integrity.
