The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Administrative Services, Bureau of Finance & Accounting (F&A), has primary responsibility for the department’s financial and accounting activities, including planning, organizing, directing and coordinating finance and accounting services in support of the programs and services of the department. F&A is also tasked with maintaining the agency's property assets in accordance with Florida Accounting Information Resource system (FLAIR). In order to comply with the requirements in FAC 69I-72.006, DEP utilizes the Strategic Asset Tracking System to facilitate the Annual Property Inventory throughout the agency. The Strategic Asset Tracking software allows the division to scan the barcode tags and convert the data to a format that can be uploaded back to FLAIR Property Master. The Strategic Asset Tracking System FLAIR Edition was designed to make the collection of asset inventory data faster and more reliable. Specifically designed for Florida state agencies looking to import data from the state FLAIR/SAMAS asset management system, this software allows the user to collect data using a handheld computer. This is a software as a service (SaaS) application hosted by Strategic Systems in the Google Cloud. The software has two components including a web application and a handheld computer application. Within the web application, the user can import FLAIR data into the system. They then use the handheld computer application to collect asset inventory data in the field. This data can then be used to produce reports in the web application. Once the inventory is finished, the data can be exported into a file that can be accepted by the FLAIR/SAMAS system. Using the Strategic Asset Tracking system, the user imports FLAIR asset data into the web application database. Intended Single Source: Strategic Systems & Technology Corporation; Justification: Strategic Systems and Technology Corporation produces and is the sole distributor for the software and support for the Strategic Asset Tracking System FLAIR SaaS Edition. Strategic Systems and Technology Corporation also integrates mobile barcode scanner and printer hardware components in order to provide a complete data collection solution. Due to the complex technical nature of these systems, Strategic Systems and Technology Corporation is the only provider of hardware related system support for DEP equipment.
