Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Area A Main Entrance A. Install PBSO approved ballistic tinting on all glass surfaces in this area. Tinting should be clear. Provide ESS with a cut sheet submittal for approval of tinting in Area A. B. SAO seal should be visible on both sides of the glass upon completion of ballistic tinting. New seals are available upon request. C. Exit sign should be visible. 2.2 Area B Elevator Lobby A. Install BR ballistic tinting with silver reflectant on all glass. Provide ESS with a cut sheet submittal for approval of tinting in Area B. B. Remove the REX sensor and associated wiring above the elevator lobby doors. Patch and paint if required. C. Install a single gang box, at an ADA approved height Above Finished Floor (AFF), and conduit stubbed up above the ceiling for the SD-7202GC-PE Request to Exit switch plate inside the elevator lobby. Wire the switch back to the electrical room. Coordinate with ESS to identify where the wires will terminate and for acceptance testing the installation. Label cable A1.A07 RTE on both ends. 2.3Area C Reception Area Reference sheet SE2 and SE3 for clarification of items described in this section. 2.3.1 wall a I. Install a solid wall to the right of the lobby reception desk. II. Install two solid core double doors with ½ glass side lights into the wall that will serve as the entrance to the hallway. III. Cover the wall studs on the public side with a minimum 1-inch thick bullet resistant fiberglass. Any seams that don’t fall on a stud shall have a manufacturer’s recommended batten covering the seam. IV. Install 2 solid core double doors with ½ glass side light installed. a) The ½ glass sidelights shall have ballistic tinting with silver reflectant installed. b) The primary door shall be ordered with an electric strike or prepared for the installation of the electric strike that shall be wired back to the access control cabinet in the electrical room.
