Request for Information Announcement For Ship To Shore Connector (SSC) Radio Intercom Interface Unit (RIIU).
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is conducting a survey of potential sources for the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) program. NSWC PCD is seeking sources for a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Interior Communication/Radio intercom interface Unit (RIIU) for a system upgrade effort.
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) for an integrated voice communications system for the SSC Program. Key Parameters include but not limited to:

- Six single user audio connections points (threshold)
- Three tactical radios (threshold)
- One portable combat radio
- On interior communications wireless base station
- One public address system
- One Wireless communications system
- Audio recording devices
- Alarm and announcing system with accurately produces standard naval supervisory tones
- Alarm and announcing system that provides public address and alarming capacities including fire and collision.
- Must route active audio to one ear and monitor audio to the other ear, selectable by the user at the access point

- Support digital and analog voice signals
- Analog signal shall be converted to digital values utilizing a minimum of 12 bits of resolution
- System shall prevent unencrypted communications to connecting to encrypted communications

- Receive analog and digital voice signals and output digital voice to computing environment and audio recording device

- Corrosion Resistance: All connectors, fasteners, and the chassis material inherently corrosion resistant or treated (for example, anodized, chemical-filmed, or coated) to resist corrosion
- Mounting: Provisions for installation on a standard EIA-310 19” rack shelf (shelf not required as part of unit)
- Power-on Indicator: External indicator that indicates the unit is powered ON (goal)
