Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Financial Services (DFS) contracted with Sonitrol of Tallahassee Inc. (Sonitrol) to install, monitor, and maintain Sonitrol proprietary security systems in the following DFS occupied buildings in Tallahassee: i. J. Edwin Larson Building, 200 E. Gaines Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399; ii. Fletcher Building, 101 E. Gaines Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399; iii. The Atrium, 325 John Knox Rd. Room 324, Tallahassee, FL 32303; iv. Hermitage Center, 1801 Hermitage Blvd, Tallahassee, FL 32308; v. Edgewater Building, 2639-A N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL 32303; vi. Division of Investigative and Forensic Services Warehouse, 5040 W. Tharpe St. Unit 401- 403, Tallahassee, FL 32303; and vii. Claude Pepper Building, 111 W. Madison St. 5th Floor, Tallahassee, FL 32301. These services are mission critical for DFS. Security monitoring and maintenance services are necessary to ensure the integrity of the existing security systems in DFS occupied buildings in Tallahassee. These systems are crucial in protecting state employees, state property, and the citizens of Florida. The existing equipment is proprietary to Sonitrol and can only be monitored and serviced by Sonitrol. The failure to acquire these services would create an unacceptable risk regarding all aforementioned persons and property. Justification: Sonitrol installed the existing equipment in DFS occupied buildings in Tallahassee. Sonitrol is the sole source provider of its proprietary equipment and is the only company authorized to monitor and maintain the equipment being used for the security of DFS occupied buildings. DFS intends to enter into a single source purchase for the continuation of the services currently being provided by Sonitrol, which include monitoring services and maintenance for existing equipment.
