Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. General Requirements 1. SW reserves the right to inspect drivers, buses, licenses, and vehicle maintenance reports at any time during the contract period. 2. Vendors shall provide, at their own cost, fuel necessary for this contract. B. Driver Requirements 1. Driver(s) appearance shall be clean, neatly attired, courteous, and carry proper identification. 2. Vendor shall ensure that each Driver is adequately trained before transporting Passengers. Drivers shall operate buses in a safe and nonaggressive manner and observe all driving rules. 3. In the event of any incident or delay, the Driver(s) are to immediately contact the SW Designee. Drivers shall be available, via cell phone, at all times during the Reservation Time. 4. The Driver shall remain at the Designated Location during the Reservation Time when not in use during the Tour as a security measure (i.e., if the facility needs to be evacuated). C. Vehicle Requirements 1. The vendor shall be able to provide a maximum of two (2), 42-passenger capacity or more Buses per Reservation. 2. Buses shall have functional air-conditioning units that maintain a cool and comfortable learning environment within the vehicles, 75 degrees Fahrenheit. 3. Buses shall be equipped with working PA Systems that Tour Guides can use to narrate the tour. PA System should include speakers and a microphone. 4. Buses shall be clean before loading Passengers. For this contract, the term "clean" shall be defined as free from dirt, garbage, or residue from food or drink. 5. Buses shall be capable of traversing the SWDC Tour Route, which includes both paved and unpaved roads. 6. SW has a preference for Buses powered by alternative fuels (e.g., electric, compressed natural gas (CNG)).
