Product or Service Required: ZOLL X- Series Advanced Life Support Cardiac Monitors; ZOLL X-Series Advanced Monitor/*Defibrillator - 12 Lead ECG, Pacing, SpO2, EtCO2, BVM, Temp, NISP, CPR Expansion Pack, Remote View; Justification for Sole Source Acquisition: Since 2018, the Fort Myers Fire Department (FMFD) has partnered with ZOLL Corporation for the purchase of ZOLL Advanced X-Series monitor/defibrillators. ZOLL Medical Corporation is the sole provider of these advanced monitors, which FMFD uses for several key reasons: Primarily, the use of ZOLL monitors ensures standardization across FMFD’s Advanced Life Support (ALS) units and aligns with other ALS providers in Lee County. ZOLL monitors are also utilized by Lee County EMS (LCEMS) and neighboring fire departments, facilitating seamless operations and training across agencies. FMFD delivers ALS services under a negotiated Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) with LCEMS. Standardizing equipment with the ZOLL Advanced X-Series monitor/defibrillators allows FMFD EMTs and credentialed paramedics to efficiently train, operate, and deliver consistent, high-quality ALS care to the community we serve.
