Specifications include, but are not limited to: (FDR) and resurfacing Work for two lanes of N. Dunkenfield Ave from W. Venable St. to 250 Linear feet North. of N. Marion Way, approximately 1.9 miles per lane. Successful Bidder shall furnish all labor, material, consumables, tools and appropriate equipment necessary to perform all operations for FDR, resurfacing, and all other work noted in the plans. The work shall consist of the production of a stabilized base course composed of a pulverized and blended mixture of the existing bituminous concrete pavement, the entire existing base course and any supplemental base material that is added for strength or road widening. Stabilization of the reclaimed materials shall be accomplished by injecting Emulsion and spreading Portland cement with the reclaimed materials to for a stabilized base course in accordance with these specifications. The finished product shall consist of 8” stabilized base and 2” of Type FC 12.5 Asphalt (76-22 modified polymer), Traffic Level C. All materials including cement, asphalt, and supplemental base material, shall comply with these specifications. The ultimate roadway section shall consist of two 11’ travel lanes. Additionally, there will be a 30-day road closure for the excavation of unsuitable material and replacement of suitable sub-grade and base material (approximately 665 feet in length and the full width of the roadway). Asphalt to be provided for the project must be identified on the current FDOT Asphalt Mix Design Plant Assignment Sheet and is to be submitted with the Bid. Pavement Markings are to meet the current MUTCD criteria. The project includes pavement reconstruction of Dunkenfield Ave from W Venable St to N Marion Way. From W Venable St to north of W Snow Ct. (STA 10+50 to STA 85+70) the existing pavement shall be reconstructed using Full Depth Reclamation topped with an asphalt pavement overlay. From north of W Snow Ct. to south of W Cottage Ln (STA 85+70 to STA 94+15) the existing pavement shall be fully reconstructed including removal of unsuitable material below the roadway, placement of new roadway embankment, and roadway reconstruction using Type B Stabilized Subgrade, Limerock Base, and Asphalt Pavement. From south of W Cottage Ln to N Marion Way (STA 94+15 to STA 109+91.47) the existing pavement shall be reconstructed using Full Depth Reclamation topped with an asphalt pavement overlay. Other work includes milling and asphalt resurfacing at pavement connection points, temporary and permanent pavement markings, shoulder grading (Contractor is responsible for providing positive drainage away from the roadway surface), sodding, erosion and sediment control and maintenance of traffic.
