The work generally consists of undergrounding of existing overhead electrical (single and/or 3-phase) services on private properties in coordination with Duke Energy. Work to include comprehensive pre-construction photography of work areas, installation of buried conduit and conductors connecting Duke Energy and private communications company’s pedestals at the property line to a point of demarcation, meter or meter bank trough at twenty (20) locations for re-service. Provide new, 200-AMP meters, where shown, compliant with Duke Energy meter requirements. Remove weatherheads and replace with threaded conduit caps. Work includes directional drilling or excavations and backfill with complete restoration to meet or exceed existing conditions. Excavations may include the removal of sod and/or landscaping, brick pavers, asphalt, and/or concrete, depending upon location and property owner approval.
