Specifications include, but are not limited to: Justification for single source acquisition: The existing Honeywell Access Control (EBI) and Video Management system (DVM) referenced above are proprietary products of Honeywell. The software for the systems is written and maintained by Honeywell, as is the programing in the field controllers. Honeywell technicians and engineers arc the only persons that are factory trained to modify and work on the system. The present systems were installed by factory trained Honeywell technicians. Honeywell service technicians are familiar with the system's components. Our technicians have access to all Honeywell literature, technical bulletins, and system update information, as well as support from our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and Engineering Centers. Honeywell is the only provider that employs the necessary personnel who are certified to work on these systems.
