Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a historical piece of public art as part of the Shady Park enhancements. The artwork should be located in the center of Shady Park, which is centrally located in Winter Park’s historical Hannibal Square. The historical art piece will be a core addition to the park’s performing arts area, which will be designed to showcase Winter Park’s diverse history through the use of African American symbols and mosaics. These historical markers will serve the intended purpose of both educating and empower the community through visual art and accurate historic presentation. The artwork theme must relate to the amenities, history, heritage, charm, and exciting future of the City.
