The Contractor shall conduct and maintain a comprehensive preemployment check of each person to determine suitability of employment. All costs associated with the pre-employment check shall be at no cost to the County. All pre-employment records shall be provided or made available for inspection by an authorized Orange County representative or designee. The preemployment check shall include at a minimum the following: 1. Ten (10) year employment background. 2. Qualifications forposition. 3. Fingerprinting. 4. A Social Security Check. 5. An Federal Department of Law EnforcementCheck. 6. A valid Driver's licensecheck. 7. Verifiable workhistory. 8. An FCIC/NCIC recordscheck. 9. Urinalysis resultsfor detection of controlled substances. 10. Personal reference checks 11. Psychological evaluation B. All security guards employed shall meet the following minimum requirements: 1. Age Requirement: Shall be 21 years or older. 2. Background Investigation: Shall have no criminal convictions. 3. Drug screening: Shall pass the drug test, as indicated above. 4. Education: Shall possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent, General Education Development (GED). 5. Citizenship: Shall be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturlization Service (INS), pursuant to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and regulations thereto. 6. Recognition skills: Shall be able to read identification badges, credentials, and labels. 7. Physical requirements: Shall be able to walk, sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout a shift. 8. Strength requirements: Shall be able to lift, carry, or hold a visitor's baggage of a maximum weight of 40 pounds. 9. Sight/color distinguishing ability: Shall be able to distinguish color used in visual displays or badges, specifically red, green, blue, and yellow. 10. Physical inspections: Guards who perform physical searches of baggage shall be able to open and close latches, zippers, and screw caps; remove or feel beneath the baggage contents; and reach all sides and compartments of the bag
