Cut down and remove all sand pines 2 inches in diameter or greater within the 22-acre project area of unit 10B (Map 2). Trees must be removed from the WMA. Sand pines less than 2 inches in diameter must be cut down but may be scattered within unit 10B so long as they are scattered more than 30 feet from all fire lines and roads. All tree stumps must be cut to a height of less than 6 inches to accommodate future management activities such as prescribed burning and mowing. Any snags within 50 feet of the firebreak or road shall also be cut and removed from the WMA. Fallen logs within 50 feet of a fire line should be either removed or dragged away from the fire line, at least 50 feet interior. 2.2. Work cannot occur during the quota periods for Archery, Muzzleloader, General Gun, Wild Hog-Dog, and Spring Turkey. The 25/26 FY hunt quota period dates are September 13-21, October 18-20, November 1-9, January 9-11, 16-18, March 14-15, 27-29, and April 10-12, 24-26.
