Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor is to provide security services for the Orange County Main Courthouse Complex, the outlying Courts, the Administration Center, the Convention Center, and other County sites based upon the individual building occupant needs and requirements. To ensure that security personnel are competent to stand a specific post, four (4) levels of security guard qualification are to be provided by the Contractor, dependant upon the specific post requirements. These four (4) levels are based upon criteria such as initial and continuing training requirements, internal and external certification of abilities and skills, and completion of qualifying law enforcement training programs. Minimum pay rate for each level of qualification shall be met as required. These specified pay rates are to set minimums to be paid by the Contractor to the guard, and not what Orange County will pay to the Contractor for services rendered. A. Uniformed Security Guard I: This guard is experienced and prepared to handle everyday situations. They will be responsible for assisting local law and emergency services personnel, answering calls, provide security by way of foot patrols, provide traffic control, or be assigned to fixed posts at crucial property locations, and provide detailed reporting as needed. This guard is well versed in crowd control and to be able to handle the unexpected. The guard shall successfully complete State Certification Requirements under Statute 493 of the Florida Administrative Regulations prior to assignment. This guard is qualified to stand post at non-scanning related locations, such as the Internal Operations Centre, Barnett Park, the Regional History Center, Health and Family Services, and the Convention Center. The minimum pay rate for this guard shall be $9.00 per hour
