Specifications include, but are not limited to: City of Winter Haven is seeking qualified roofers and contractors interested in roof replacements on single family residences not owned by the City. This is one of several solicitations for roof replacement to be posted in the coming weeks/months. Funding supplied by a grant from the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) fund. Shingle Roof 1. Tear-off and dispose of the existing shingle roofing assemblies down to the deck. 2. Re-nail the wood deck to meet current FBC approvals. 3. Replace damaged wood as needed and provide photo documentation. 4. Provide and install synthetic underlayment. 5. Provide and install all new metal flashings, components, and accessories. 6. Furnish and install a new GAF Royal Sovereign three-tab shingle roofing assembly (or equivalent). 7. Provide a contractors two-year workmanship warranty. 8. Provide a manufactures 25-year limited warranty. Flat Roof 1. Tear-off and dispose of the existing low-slope roofing materials to the deck. 2. Re-nail the wood deck to meet current FBC approvals. 3. Replace damaged wood as needed and provide photo documentation. 4. Provide and install all new metal flashings, components, and accessories. 5. Furnish and install a self-adhered base & granulated cap sheet roofing assembly. 6. Provide a Contractors two-year workmanship warranty.
