Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is a third row thinning of 301 acres of planted slash and a marked selection thinning of 28 acres of mature planted slash pine on the Rima Ridge Tract of Tiger Bay State Forest in Volusia County, Florida. Timber to be removed from the 301 acre plantation includes every third row. Trees in the leave rows are not to be harvested or damaged. Within the marked selection stand only trees marked with blue paint will be harvested. Remaining unmarked trees will be protected from damage. Sale boundaries include roads, fire lines, wetlands, and any flagged lines. Loading ramps and skid trails will be kept to a minimum. This sale includes approximately 5,383 tons of pulpwood and 1,567 tons of Chip-N-Saw or Better.
