Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The plans for the project consist of the following documents: a) Sheet #11, of the original plans for the City of Port Orange Municipal Complex, City Hall, page #11, titled “Covered Walkway Plan, Sections and Details”. This plan was originally prepared by William Faust Architect, P.A., dated January 1984. (architect deceased.) b) Sheet # A-I titled “DittDome” and # A-II titled “Dittdome Details”, are the original shop drawings as prepared by Dittmer Architectural Aluminum,1006 Shepard Road, Winter Springs, Florida 32706-2018. (305)831-1981. This company is still in operation. c) Sheet titled “DittDome Details II” is to provide detail which may not be legible on A-II titled “Dittdome Details”, 2. The contractor will provide all materials, labor, equipment and supervision, to remove and replace the existing acrylic panels as originally specified on sheet # A-I and A-II of the (Dittmer) shop drawings, to include the following: a) Remove and replace all existing gaskets (referenced to as “vinyl strips”) as shown in the typical bow section, sheet A-I of the Dittmer shop drawings. b) Remove and replace the ¼” acrylic (“glass”) panels in all openings previously glazed), using dark bronze acrylic #2370, as originally specified. 3. Contractor shall examine the ridge cap / vent, as shown in detail B-A1 (Sheet A-II), to ensure that the wind baffle is in place, as well as the original rain baffle, and gasket system. Replace gasket(s) and damaged components as required. 4. Contractor shall examine and water test the neoprene expansion bar at the expansion joint locations, shown on sheet A-I of the shop drawings. Refer to “Grid Plan at New Walkway Cover”. The original installation of the walkway cover was accomplished by assembly of the units on the ground. The units were then lifted with a crane and bolted into place, which may not allow the expansion joints to be removed. 5. The contractor will “hand clean” all the aluminum components in an effort to remove dirt and accumulated debris prior to installing new gaskets and acrylic panels.
