Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified recreation instructors to provide classes throughout The County of Volusia at County facilities. To provide this service, the Contractor shall meet the following requirements: A. Shall be at least 21 years old with the equivalent of one (1) years of education or experience in the anticipated field of instruction, or a combination thereof; B. Shall have a minimum of one (1) year of instructor experience in the anticipated field of instruction; C. Shall be able to communicate verbally and/or in writing in the English language; D. Shall be CPR/First Aid/AED Certified; E. Contractor’s employees or subcontractors must successfully pass a criminal background investigation; F. Shall submit and maintain a Certificate(s) of Insurance that satisfies the minimum insurance requirements based on the services provided; and G. Contractor shall set course fees on Attachment B Instructor Program Proposal.
