The City will provide the following: 1. Space in the MERE Complex to operate a food service operation. 2. Space for storage of concession supplies at the Mere, if available. 3. Water, sewer, electrical, and garbage removal services. 4. Facility schedule and calendar of special events. 5. Cooperative consultation with the contractor regarding hours of operation. The City reserves the right to close the operation for periods of time, should events Or circumstances warrant. 6. Equipment as outlined in attached Equipment Schedule. General Requirements 1. The contract term shall be 1 year with the option to renew at the City’s request for 3 additional years provided that the city is satisfied with the service being provided. The Contract will commence February 1, 2026 and the Contractor will be required to enter into a written contract agreement with the City. 2. The Contractor shall supply all equipment necessary to operate the concession at the Mere, except as noted in attached Equipment Schedule. The Contractor’s equipment must receive prior approval from the City. The Contractor will assume the full risk and responsibility for any loss or damage to the equipment. 4. The contractor shall operate the concession at the times specified by the City Department of Recreation. 5. Concessions must be maintained to provide adequate service levels. 6. The menu and prices will require the approval of the City. 7. The City from time to time may permit other contractors to operate specialty food services on a limited basis for special events or functions. However, it is not the intention to compete with the Contractor. 8. Applicants must provide a resume of their experience in the food service industry. 9. Any renovations are at the cost and responsibility of the Contractor and require City approval. 10. The Contractor is authorized to maintain and operate automatic vending machines at the MERE, with written approval from the City.
