PURPOSE AND INTENT The sole purpose and intent of this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is to obtain firm, fixed pricing for the purchase and delivery of reversible vibratory plates for Palm Beach County. GENERAL This unit will be used for compaction of granular soil materials and mixed materials with some cohesive content. This unit must be a new, current production reversible vibratory plate compactor. This unit should be a Wacker model DPU6555Hech or equal with the salient characteristics listed in the Technical Requirements. COUNTY’S RESPONSIBILITIES The County shall: 1. Order via individual purchase order. 2. Provide access to the equipment and/or delivery location. 3. NOT accept any minimum order requirements. SUCCESSFUL QUOTER’S RESPONSIBILITIES The successful quoter shall: 1. Be bound by all terms, conditions, requirements and specifications of this solicitation. 2. Include shipping/freight charges and surcharges in their unit pricing and/or percentage discount or markup. 3. The quoter must be an authorized dealer/distributor/reseller/service provider of the manufacturer. 4. Awarded quoter will provide training on machine. Location, date and duration of training will be determined by user department. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS All items shall meet or exceed all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, as well as all industry and safety standards. Equivalent items shall meet the specifications of the stated brand name, as well as the salient characteristics specified herein.
