Specifications include, but are not limited to: UF shall enter into contract with vendor(s) to provide proposal development and support to principal investigators (PIs) for major, complex interdisciplinary proposals on an as-needed basis. The vendor(s) may work individually, or as a member of a team, to serve the needs of the University client. We anticipate entering into contracts with multiple, qualified vendors. The length of each engagement will be determined by the magnitude and complexity of the proposal. DRPD and/or PIs will have sole discretion as to which vendor to engage with based on the type of proposal and the vendor’s relevant expertise. The University of Florida is looking for consultants with a range of expertise to assist us in meeting our goals. These skill sets include, but are not limited to, experience with large and/or complex proposal development and support, including • Timeline and template preparation • Proposal writing • Copyediting (including support for writers who learned English as a second language) • Graphics design and illustration • Create and coordinate proposal development organizational plan (e.g. team meetings) • Document control • Pink/red team reviews • Support for sponsor site visits • Training in writing, assembling and developing effective proposals • Sponsor engagement training • Review proposal for compliance with sponsor’s guidelines/criteria
