Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected firm shall perform all the duties and responsibilities normally associated with providing security services. The Authority is seeking a firm with the ability to provide professional security services at Mary Bethune Hi-rise, J.L. Young Apartments and J.L. Young Annex and the ENCORE Site, which should include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Provide appropriately equipped, uniformed, well trained, certified and/or licensed, unarmed security personnel. These services are to be provided in a timely, professional manner. 2. Working hours are seven (7) days per week, including weekends and holidays. (Actual shifts to be determined once the most responsive respondent is established). 3. Ensure that security personnel properly carry out the primary duty of safeguarding the residents and employees assigned to these sites. 4. Services shall include standing security posts, roving security patrols of the parking structures and sites and all hallways at each location. 5. Provide and maintain a cellular phone for each Security Guard so that he/she can be contacted as needed by staff while on duty. 6. Respond to complaints regarding safety received from management and residents. 7. Observe , talking with offenders, calling law enforcement, etc 8. Respond to first aid calls and smoke alarms and take appropriate action 9. Monitor incoming and outgoing traffic and note any suspicious activity 10. Identify unsafe property conditions, illegal activities and takes appropriate action to correct, in accordance with established procedures 11. Assist residents in logging in visitors
