The selected Professional shall manage and operate the S.T.E.M. program, provide for all resources and requirements necessary in the performance of the services listed herein as follows: a. The S.T.E.M. Professional, and his/her designee, shall coordinate a fall, winter, spring, and summer schedule of activities in cooperation with and approval by the Community Recreation Director or his/her designee. The schedule of activities shall include but not be limited to: S.T.E.M. programming conducted during the academic school year: summer and spring break camp programs. The goal of all programming should be to provide a well-rounded S.T.E.M. experience for all participants. b. The S.T.E.M. Professional, and his/her designee, will provide a full schedule of age-appropriate activities to include classes and programs. They will provide classes/program name, age of participants to be served, class/program description including the date, begin/end time of the class/program and weekly lesson plan to the Community Recreation Director, or his/her designee c. The schedule of classes/programs will be submitted by the S.T.E.M. Professional upon the request of the Community Recreation Director, or his/her designee. Information submitted will be used for inclusion in the Coral Gables Community Recreation Newsletter and additional marketing materials. All additional marketing materials, including but not limited to, flyers, articles etc., must have pre-approval from the Community Recreation Director or his/her designee. d. The selected Professional represents that he/she has, or will secure at his/her own expense, all necessary personnel required to perform the stated services of this RFP and the executed contract. Such personnel shall NOT be City employees or have any contractual relationship with the City. e. The S.T.E.M. Professional, prior to assuming management of the S.T.E.M. program, must present a complete list of employees including but not limited to name, contact phone number, email address, position held and duties to the Community Recreation Director, or his/her designee. f. All the services required by this RFP shall be performed by the S.T.E.M. Professional and his/her personnel. Staff employed by the S.T.E.M. Professional to perform these services shall be fully qualified and, if required, authorized, or permitted under state and local law to perform such services. The S.T.E.M. Professional shall be liable for all work performed by his/her personnel. g. The S.T.E.M. Professional and all employees of the S.T.E.M. Professional, prior to contact with any/all participants, must submit to a background check, at no cost to the City, in compliance with local, state and Federal laws. The background check shall be completed by the City of Coral Gables Human Resource Department at the expense of the S.T.E.M. Professional. The City shall have the right to refuse to allow any potential employee of the S.T.E.M. Professional to work on City property when it deems that their presence on City property is not in the City’s best interest.
