Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Tallahassee’s electric utility is soliciting proposals for the acquisition of professional engineering services on an as-needed basis. The engineering services include, but are not limited to, project and construction management as well as the preparation of plans, specifications, engineering studies, and other engineering services associated with the design, construction, and operation of the City of Tallahassee's electric utility transmission lines and switching stations, its bulk power substations, and its distribution facilities. The City of Tallahassee ("City") reserves the right to issue multiple contracts for these services. Professional engineering services associated with the design of new 230 or 115 switching stations, new 230 – 115 kV bulk power stations, and/or new 115 – 12 kV distribution bulk power distribution substations all of which may be comprised of, but not limited to, bus work, open-bus switchgear as well as metalclad switchgear, relaying and controls, security systems, circuit switchers, circuit breakers, power transformers, station capacitors, AC/DC station power, etc. and including site environmental assessment, environmental permitting, site preparation, equipment layout, preparation of equipment specifications, design of substation inputs and outputs, preparation of construction plans and specifications, bid evaluations, procurement, and project and/or construction management.
