The Melbourne Airport Authority (MAA) seeks qualified firms interested in providing PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES as outlined in the following Scope of Services for the Melbourne Orlando International Airport - located in Brevard County. The MAA is requesting grant funding from both federal and state agencies to replacing the existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems within the existing terminal that was constructed in 1989. Most of the MEP systems still operating are original to the 1989 project and are in dire need of replacement. While the overall proposed budget for the MEP renovations is $10,000,000, grant funding will require a multi-phase, multi-year renovation of the overall project. The first phase of funding will be $3,500,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that will include the overall cost for the design of the project and the first phase of work which shall be part of a new chiller plant. This first phase of the design must be completed and bids received no later than February 27, 2026. MAA suggests you carefully review the qualifications and experience required in this RFQ. The Airport is not looking for potential firms that have all the resources in the RFQ under one roof but sufficient years of experience and project history for specific scopes of work that MAA can combine with other firms to create custom professional teams for specific projects as they may be needed in the future. The scoring on the RFQ will be specific on each qualification asked for. If you do not have those qualifications, you do not need to fill out that scope of services section.
