Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Finishing/Binding: Eight (8) or Twelve (12) pages, 8.5-inch x 11-inch with center fold on the 11-inch side, saddle stitched, and trimmed. 2) Quantity: The Contractor will provide a quote for nine thousand (9,000) copies printed. Please note that overruns are acceptable, but that underruns are not acceptable. 3) Ink: 5/5 – 4 color process with bleeds. 4) Paper: 70# Somerset Matte Recycled material or equal. (a) If proposing a recycled paper other than, but equal in weight and quality to, Somerset Matte Recycled, the Contractor will provide a sample of the proposed paper and obtain CHNEP Project Manager approval in advance prior to using. 5) Print Files: (a) The print files will be submitted from CHNEP to the Contractor as Adobe Publisher or InDesign files. (b) The Contractor will provide graphic design support services to make any final adjustments/revisions to the print files that are necessary for printing, including adjustment of bleeds, text, images, formatting, etc. as needed and per CHNEP staff written requests. 6) Proofs: (a) The Contractor will provide the Project Manager with high-resolution digital proof(s). (i) If revisions are needed to the digital proof, Contractor will work collaboratively with the Project Manager to make the revisions necessary until a final digital proof is approved in writing by the CHNEP Project Manager, for the Contractor to proceed to hard-copy proof development. (b) The Contractor, once receiving approval in writing of final digital proof, will produce and mail a bound, color hard-copy proof to Project Manager. (i) Specifications for hard copy proofs are the same as final printing. (ii) If revisions are needed to hard-copy proof, Contractor will work collaboratively with the Project Manager to make the revisions necessary until final hard copy proof is approved in writing by the CHNEP Project Manager for the Contractor to acknowledge receiving that day and to proceed immediately to printing. (iii) The Project Manager will approve the final hard-copy proof that meets all specifications in a read receipt email to the Contractor. (iv) Contractor must accept read receipt and/or acknowledge receipt of final hard-copy proof written approval from the Project Manager the day the Contractor receives it. (c) The final approved proof will exactly match the final printed product. Should the final print product differ from final approved proof, reprinting will be required.
