Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) services for Seminole County Fire Department/EMS Operations. Physician will be responsible for the supply of materials, delivery, coordination and all incidentals necessary for the Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) Consulting Agreement as described in this Scope of Work. Work will include, but not be limited to the following: Physician services to provide evaluation, consultation, and recommendations regarding Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) protocol. (Ex: A Needle Stick, Blood Exposure, Lab Results with a follow up process.) Physician will participate in quality monitoring programs or meetings when the expertise of an Infectious Disease Specialist would be an asset to improving the quality of the program and/or meeting. Physician will provide PEP education and in services to facility staff within a reasonable time after a request of the facility EMS Chief. (Ex: EMS-Fire Department education seminar and/or meeting) Physician must be available to respond to questions, offer recommendations, order Prophylaxis medication initiation, and necessary baseline labs as needed.
