The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) has established regional Parent Training and Information Centers to support families of children with disabilities and youth with disabilities under Section 1471 of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Florida’s Parent Training and Information Center is the Family Network on Disabilities, which through three regional programs serve the entire state of Florida. Family Network on Disabilities of Florida, Inc. is the only vendor that can provide the needed services for Florida’s Early Steps Program because it has been designated by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) as the sole provider eligible to provide these services within the territorial boundaries for service delivery
