Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust is desirous of continuing to increase awareness of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Plan and the housing and services offered in the local homeless continuum of care and how those services are offered educating the community on the continuing needs to assist and address the local homeless population and increasing financial and overall community support of local homeless programs. A focus of the Trusts public education and awareness efforts is increasing community-wide knowledge of how the local homeless system of care operates (e.g. street outreach teams, different levels of housing, employment programs, etc.) how services can and are accessed (centralized access through the toll-free Homeless Helpline) and who can access these services. The focus is, as well, in increasing knowledge and awareness (including 6 among our youth) of homelessness, what is homelessness is, who are the homeless (to dispel the myths surrounding homelessness and reduce violence against the homeless) educating the community on the most effective ways to assist the homeless encouraging further involvement and support of the Trusts efforts to assist the homeless and providing information on the systems current successes. The purpose of this RFP is to obtain proposals from experienced providers of public relations and/or marketing services, detailing their experience in the field of public relations, in particular with assisting in public education and media awareness of community issues such as homelessness. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to: - public outreach, including but not limited to story development and pitching/placement - development and implementation of multi-media marketing and education campaigns to increase awareness and which include, but are not limited to, the continuation of existing, successful efforts (e.g. Homeless Awareness Day, Britto Donation Meters, etc.) - graphic design and material development - media support, including but not limited to, managing/fielding calls from the media and crisis communications - social media support, which includes, but is not limited to, webpage content development - development of presentations and speechwriting. All materials developed for production must be cost effective and easily replicated.
