Specifications include, but are not limited to: Professional services to provide a Focused Downtown Albany MarketStrategy. CARA desires to enter into a professional services agreement with a qualified individual orfirm who can demonstrate the competency and experience in providing the requested services. Theconsultant's recommendations will be used by the CARA Advisory Board to guide future investment oftax-increment revenue for both public and private projects.The scope of work for the requested services includes the following:·Provide marketing strategies and analyze the potential for growth of retail, office andentertainment sectors and residential development in downtown Albany;·Identify redevelopment opportunities that may result in an overall enhancement of the quality ofliving;·Examine the business mix of the downtown, including key event-drivers and attractions;·Create a detailed consumer profile of prospective downtown user groups;·Identify what mix of housing types and price points best suit various niches in the downtownmarket; and·Define downtown Albany's position in the local and regional retail/entertainment and housingmarkets.
