The audits will confirm if there is a strategic road map in place that ties performance measures to goals and vision. Possible strengths and weaknesses, by department, will be identified in municipal service delivery and, a benchmark or roadmap will be provided for individual departments to increase performance measures as well as staff and resident satisfaction. In addition, the audit will reveal if departments utilize explicit measures of performance or benchmarks, either internal or external, to track or quantify delivery of services. At the completion of a single department audit, the awarded consultant will provide an assessment of the department and include corrective actions that can be reasonably deployed to effectively measure performance internally and to the residents they serve to the City Manager. Department Follow-up Process: The awarded consultant will be responsible to provide a brief evaluation within the following 12-month period to determine if the department/division previously audited has addressed the findings, achieved improvements or not met expectations or recommendations provided in the original department/division assessment.
