Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of South Miami (the “City”) is requesting responses from qualified professionals to provide landscape architectural, engineering, and planning services needed for the development of a Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan (“Plan”). The Plan will guide the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the City’s public parks and open spaces to ensure they are sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for residents and visitors alike, while promoting environmental stewardship. The Plan must include, but is not limited to: 1. A detailed assessment of existing facilities, staffing, and budgets, alongside community engagement through focus groups, surveys, and public meetings. 2. A targeted master plan for Palmer Park that explores layout improvements and shared-use opportunities with adjacent schools, maximizing resources and expanding recreational offerings. 3. A phased implementation plan, including a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), budget forecasting, and performance metrics, to ensure sustainable development.
