Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Scope of Services outlined below describe the PROFESSIONAL’s responsibilities in connection with the design of the segment detailed above of the Orange Belt Trail, a 37-mile, multi-use trail planned from Trinity to Trilby. The proposed Orange Belt Trail will enhance the regional trail network by connecting to the Coast-to-Coast Trail, Starkey Trail, Suncoast Trail, and Withlacoochee Trail. The segment of trail proposed for this design spans approximately 4.9 miles. The proposed trail width will be 12’ to 15’ wide. Services to be performed consist of side street and intersection design, roadway/trail design, trailhead design, drainage design, signing and pavement marking design, landscape architecture design, Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) Environmental Resource Permit (ERP)/permit exemption, survey and mapping, subsurface utility exploration (SUE), coordination with Duke Energy related to its easement at the site, utility coordination, project branding, and post design services. Easement and survey assistance will be utilized as an optional service. The design shall also include two bridges. The PROFESSIONAL will prepare and provide all necessary documents, including plans, permits, utility work schedules and specifications, and construction bid documents. These services are necessary to comply with COUNTY procedures for the construction of the project.
