The Town of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from Florida-licensed professional engineering firms to provide engineering, design, permitting, and construction oversight services for the rehabilitation of the North Island Water Tower Complex. This project is funded through the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Critical Infrastructure Program, administered by Lee County. Engineering services procured under this RFQ must adhere to 2 CFR 200.317-327, Florida Statutes, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The North Island Water Tower Complex was severely damaged by Hurricane Ian, leaving the Town dependent on a single remaining potable water tank. This project is a critical infrastructure initiative to ensure resilient, secure, and sustainable potable water access for residents and businesses in Fort Myers Beach. Through this solicitation, the Town seeks an experienced, engineering, and design firm to provide comprehensive professional services that align with FEMA flood mitigation guidelines, CDBG-DR program requirements, and sustainable development best practices. The project will not only restore these vital community assets but also integrate resilient infrastructure solutions to protect against future climate-related threats.
