Specifications include, but are not limited to: he Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is a fourth-row operator select thinning of approximately 326 acres of 20-year-old slash pine on Tiger Bay State Forest in Volusia County, Florida (see attached maps). Timber to be removed is every 4th row and select trees in the leave rows to meet the target basal area of 80 square feet per acre. Timber to be removed from the leave rows includes damaged, diseased, forked, suppressed, or trees approved by the Forester-In-Charge to meet the target basal area. The boundaries include roads, wetlands, obvious timber type changes, state forest boundaries, and fire lines. There are no painted sale boundary lines. The estimated harvest volume is 12,193 tons of pulpwood and better.
