This bathroom rebuild project will ensure the fire station has a usable bathroom and shower. This project requires demolition of the sheetrock, lighting, lavatories and shower surround and floor drain. this project will also include some case work to the stud walls and sill plates. This renovation project requires installation of all new finishes in the construction zone including paint, epoxy flooring, HVAC ceiling grills, diffusers and registers (as applicable), electrical outlets, switches and other necessary devices or structures required to create a newly finished space. Bathroom has interior water damage to sheetrock and wood framing in interior and exterior walls of the shower room area. This is a complete, Code Compliant shower room renovation project including: • Remove and replace sheetrock on all walls and ceiling inside shower room. Contractor to protect all areas not in area of construction. New sheetrock will be 5/8ths inch, moisture resistant, mechanically attached to wood stud framing. • Remove and replace all rotted wood that was behind the shower room sheetrock. Exterior wall sill plates will be pressure treated wood approved for interior installation. Exterior walls to be insulated per Code requirements. Contractor to provide wood blocking behind new sheetrock for proper mounting of bathroom dispensers and fixtures. • Remove the tile shower and all associated components down to the floor drain. • Install new sill plate with foam-plate gasket and wood stud walls where damage has occurred. • Install new 4 ft x 3 ft (minimum) fiberglass shower surround. • Replace any damaged casework and wood moldings inside shower room. • Replace all sheetrock texture and painted finishes with (Sherwin Williams product). Color to be decided. • Remove and replace fixtures and associated plumbing as needed for installation of new shower assembly, walls, and related work. This to include any Ada grab bars for shower and toilet access. • Replace lighting with long-life LED fixtures; o Ceiling: Surface mounted, 3900 Lumens, 33 Watt, LED Type 39 similar to HE-Williams-LT-22-L39-835-AF, connected to wall switch at doorway. o Vanity: 4x4 inch box mounted over sink LED light fixture connected to wall switch mounted near sink. • Install new exhaust fan(s) will be vented directly to outside of the building with rigid piping pitched to drain any condensation outside the building. Exhaust fans are to be connected to wall switch at doorway. • Replace HVAC grills/registers/diffusers with new units. • Remove existing flooring and replace with poured in place epoxy flooring wrapped 4 inches up (integral cove base board) new walls. Color to be decided. • All fire alarm or sprinkler devices are to remain in place. • Column in adjacent bunk room to be framed, wrapped in sheetrock, and finished with texture and painted to match Shower room. • Repair sheetrock joints in the main dining/kitchen area ceilings. • Repaint main dining/kitchen area to match shower room color. • Paint existing doors.
