Seminole County Fire Department is soliciting competitive bids from qualified vendors to provide meter sensors and service for meters that can rapidly identify unknown liquid and powder substances. This is a federally grant-funded project under the State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP). Equipment must comply with and meet all federal requirements. • Sensors must be compatible with MSA Altair 5X meters. • One year of maintenance service and upgrade, must be compatible with AreaRae meters. • One year of maintenance service and upgrade, must be compatible with MX908 meters. • Pre-screening kit designed to quickly evaluate any unknown powder or liquid in the lab or the field. It must be able to conduct all tests on one test kit. It must be able to screen for Anthrax, Botulinum Toxin, Brucella, Orthopox, Plague, Ricin, Staphylococcal enterotoxin B, and Tularemia. Meter sensors must be in new condition, substitutions will not be acceptable. The County will not accept used, refurbished, or any other standard.
