Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Mowing of Grass: Residential and commercial areas shall be cut to a maximum height of three (3) inches; open and vacant lots and the adjoining public right-of-way between property and adjacent street(s), to a maximum of four (4) inches. Cuttings shall be removed from sidewalks, driveways, and street frontage by use of a mechanical blower onto the property, not city drains or streets. Cuttings generated by the Contractor shall be removed from the site at no additional cost. B. Edging: Neatly edge and trim around all plant beds, curbs, walkways, roadways, trees, plants, and buildings. Use of a “weed eater” is discouraged around tree trunks. Use of chemicals for edging is prohibited without prior written permission from the City. C. Trimming: Trim shrubs, fence lines, and ground covers. Trimming that alters the shape, height, and fullness with respect to the intended character of the plantings is prohibited. D. Contractor-generated trimmings shall be removed from the property at no additional cost of trimming the lot. E. Trash and Discarded Articles Removal: Services to include demolition and removal of dilapidated sheds and fences. All trash and debris located on-site prior to the Contractor performing any work including, but not limited to, cuttings, decayed/decaying building materials, household furniture/furnishings, appliances, mechanical or transportation parts, tires, overgrown compost piles, fallen tree limbs, cans/buckets, garbage, paper products, discarded metal, glass, and wood products shall be collected and removed from the site(s).
